You never actually own an Arabian Horse!
You merely look after & preserve it for the next generation!

January 28th
Our darling Layishaah and Lohennaah (who also got colic on the night of Jan. 23rd - constriction of colon) was allowed home on Jan. 25th.
Layishaah is doing well after surgery, but is not to keen on being limited to the box.
Lohennaah's colic need no surgery, so she is back to normal.
Thank you to Regiondjursjukhuset i Helsingborg for taking such good care of our babies!

January 21st
On the evening of Jan. 17th Layishaah got ill in colic. Vet was out but didn't manage to get it right, so we hade to drive to The Animal Hospital in Helsingborg. Layishaah had surgery done during the night and had a constriction in her intestine (not colon), which couldn't be solved unless surgery. According to reports from the vets she is doing great!
Still - keep fingers crossed!

January 14th
Exciting news - new mare to Cesam Arabians, co-owned with my sister Monica Jönsson. The chestnut mare Poprawa is joing the gang at Cesam Arabians. See more on Poprawa. Thank you my dear Jane Hall for the opportunity of letting us have this mare in our stud!

Poprawa's daugther Maralinga f. 2006 (by Kuwait (Kulak x Grazincja)) will also be staying here for a while, still in ownership of Jane Hall.

January 4th 2012
Again has time flewn and we are now in January 2012. I have had my knee-surgery done in Sep. 2011, and is at the moment recovering from it.
Horses have been banned for me during that time, and I'm still not in condition enough to do anything. Thanks to my sister Monica and Jessica for caring about them, and also thank you to mum and dad as well as Tomas.

Plans are not fully made for 2012 and there might be one or two surprices up the road.

May 14th
The 3-year old test for ponys was held May 7th at Bollerup Agricultural School outside Tomelilla her ein the South of Sweden. Our Swedish Ridingpony mare Magic Avaloneh participated and we are so proud! Johanna, our stable trainee have made a splendid work with her, training, matching and prepairing her for this test. Magic Avaloneh behaved fantastically and really showed her self from the best side and took the whole day with fantastic temper.
Judges are looking at Type - Head/Neck/Body - Legs and correctness of movements - Activities in Walk - Activities in Trot - Activities in galop. They also look at Loosejumping (technique and ability) and (temper and general impression).
She got 8 - 7 - 7 - 7 - 7 - 7 = 43 (7,2) and 8 -7 - 7 - 7 -7 - 6 = 42 (7,0).

March 9th 2011
2011 is already in March and the year has started off sadly. Lofayaah went lame in December, at first we tought it was tendinitis, however she did not recover as hoped for three weeks. Vet was out and she was diagnosed laminithis. Was on treatment with painkillers for 10 days with hardly no effect, got an other painkiller but got worse and worse. Yesterday we took her to Stenestads Hästklinik for an x-ray and sadly enoguh it was the worst scenario as her hoofbone almost ruptured the sole in the hoove on right front. Left front was a bit better but not good either. So the descision was made to put her too sleep.

R.I.P. Lofayaah 22 March 1996  -  8 March 2011. Beloved  -  Missed

Lootah was gelded on February 9th and this has made a good impact on him, even though it was sad to geld him due to his pedigree and looks. He will now stay at stud as my future riding horse and he is doing well in his education.

Magic Avaloneh is trained for the 3 year test in May and she is broken for riding successfully.

No mares will be bred this year either, mainly due to my up-coming knee-surgery. Nor will Milagro stand at stud at all this year as well. He is celebrating his 25th Birthday on March 24th.

November 21st
Wow, already November! Greyish, wet and rather boring weather, though some new additions here at Cesam Arabians!

First of all, on Sep. 29th Selma moved in with us. Selma is a Salukibitch born July 13th 2010. You can read more about her at Salukivalparna and at her new page here at this webpage, please look at Pets

Second, we have two girls doing educational practice here. Please look at Other Activities-Praktikanter.

No mares in foal for 2011, as the air almost got lost loosing three horses during a 4 month time. Plans are not fully made up for 2011, as all mares are ridden now. Magic Avaloneh will do a "3-year-test" next year, so she is prepaired for this.  And we haven't yet decieded if to show Lootah at Stallion licensing. He is still developing and perhaps not yet ready to be shown.

June 7th
Time has flew and more sad things happened. On March 23rd my sister lost her beloved Cas Imiraah, who suddenly got an ileus. Probably due to the so called "skimmelsjukan" (malign melanoma internally caused by strangulating lipoma). We miss this special horse very much.

R.I.P. Cas Imiraah  16 March 1990 - 23 March 2010. Beloved -  Missed

Milagro got ill abouth 14 days ago, an inflammation in his leathersole at his right back foot. Antibiotic, antiinflammatoric, resting, chilling. Now he is recovering and doing just fine again.

Ann-Louise did a great practice here at our stable - see more under Other Activities - Praktikanter.

February 1st 2010
Today we say welcome to Ann-Louise Johansson, who will do a 2 month practice here at our stable.

November 22nd
R.I.P Lobelia 18 February 1986 - 9 November 2009. Beloved - Missed

Our beloved and beautiful mare Lobelia suddenly passed away on November 9th in an acute gascolic and ileus. She didn't respond at any of the medications, so the decision was made to put her down, as she would not survive surgery. She is now grazing the everlasting greenpastures with her daugther Louizaah and many others. Miss you my beautiful horse!!!

November 3rd
R.I.P. Louizaah 29 April 1991 - 3 November 2009. Beloved - Missed

Due to a severe headinjury in April 2008 (she was kicked in the head by a stabled pony), getting blind on her right eye, she developed an escalating braindamage in this Summer (2009), making her more and more confused and also a sight loss in her left eye. Hence she was put to sleep today and is now grazing the everlasting green pastures. Miss you my beautiful horse!!!

July 22nd
As Yaldamor didn't come back into season for a second try after the resorbation, owner decied not to try any more due to cystic corpus luteum-problem

July 12th
Unfortunately on day 32, Yaldamor resorbed, so hence she is back for a new try.

July 3rd
Congratulations and best of luck to Anna-Karin Jönsson, Häglinge, Tjörnarp and her pure Arabmare Yaldamor, whos is checked in foal to Milagro on June 22nd (day 18) for a 2010-foal!

June 1st
Back to normal again after 13 days of vacation in Denmark. Fantastic time however not a resting holiday as every day was totally full up!
A BIG Thank You to mum, dad and Monica for taking so great care of all thge animals during our trip. The big moves are also going to happen now during June. Mum & dad are moving to their new home and omas is moving in here at the farm. No time to rest.

We also welcome Yaldamor, purebred Arabian mare that is going to be bred to Milagro. Se more at Visiting mares.

Also welcome to Neferite, alias Neffie, a Ponymare (bred unknown) owned by Catarina Wilson, who will spend Summer here grazing.

May 19th
Vacationtime! So no updates during 14 days now.
The mares was let out on pasture May 13th and we hope for a glorious Summer like last years, so they can be out grazing from middle May to end of September.
The stallions are out all day from early morning til late evening, however due to Milagro's walking during nights they are stabled during nights, so they can eat properly.
Haven't decided if Lootah will be shown this Summer - yet - he IS looking goooood!

May 8th
Gee, May already! And life is flying fastly! Many changes, so not laying on our backs here!
First of all....Me and Tomas are moving together by buying this farm from my mum and dad! Mum & dad has bought a smaller house nearby.
Secondly, I'm still riding 2-3 times/week and I think I'm doing great! Lofayaah (who still is my main riding partner) has developed very well. My sister arranged an Eastern Ride on Easter Day and I participated with Lofayaah, 2 hours of wonderful forrest riding!
Thirdly, Louizaah was bred to Milagro early April and had an ultra sound made on April 28th, but once again she had a cystic corpus luteum on her right ovary and a cyst in her whom. So the hard decision was made by me and my fantastic gynological vet Hans-Eric Fahlström, Louizaah is taken out of breeding as we have tried three years in a row now and have had problem with cystic corpus luteum each year. I had some hope this year as she had been behaving normally with getting in season. However, faith was not with us. A very sad thing though as Louizaah has a fantastic and unique pedigree, a superb riding ability and a lovely temper, as well as old type AND all her three daugthers are sadly sold! Well, well....must put the hope to the owners of these mares that they breed sensibel and with the right heart from these mares, so that the lines are kept!
No other mare is bred this year due to riding and educating them.
Fourth, me and Tomas is going for a 12 day vacation from May 20th til May 31st. Going to be great!!!

March 21st
As usual does time fly by quickly. However we have not been very lazy here at Cesam Arabians. The horses are ridden a lot now, the youngsters are broken for riding (Layishaah & Lohennaah) everyone after their "place in the timetable".
I, my self, have started to ride once a week for my sister Monia (who is a riding instructor) on Lofayaah to get rid of the "fear" I got after the bad knee-injury I had back in 2002. And it is going very well.
Breeding season is here too, and I have not yet decieded IF I will have any mares bred this year. So many other exciting things happening during this year, so.......

January 9th 2009
New Year, New Hopes!
Christmas passed quickly (worked some of it) and New Year too, but it was great anaway!!! We have had a fantastic Winter for about 14 days here in the South. but now it is back to normal (wet and grey) Southish Winter again.

No foals expected this year but we ride the mares as much as we can. Haven't finalized the breeding plans for 2009 either
