Who is Carina Jönsson?





My name is Carina Jönsson (b. 1962), daughter of the most fantastic parents (Gunn & Carl-Gustaf Jönsson) and has the most fantastic sister in the world, Monica Jönsson.
I'm a registered nurse (since 1990) and I have been working at several Emergency Care Wards (incl. an ICU Ward) at the University Hospital in Lund. I'm a Nurse Anaesthetists, got my diploma in June-02. I work as a Nurse Anaesthetusts at the University Hospital of Lund at the Ward of Anaestesiology and Intensive Care Unit. In  Nov. 2007 I took my Candidate degree in Nursing and Science 41-60 p.

I have been involved with Horses since I was 9 years old and with Purebred Arabian Horses since 1974, owning my own Arabian Horses since 1976.
Among people I have worked with is Vet. Bertil Jacobsson, former racertrainer, nowadays trotter-trainer Hans Adielsson and above all, my mentor Mr Ivan Bengtsson (between 1974-1982, but still having close contact).
I'm no event-rider and does not compete, however I have been training and riding Arabhorses (and other horsebreeds as well) for racing and other disciplines during the years that have passed. I have also taken care of planing the breeding, the caring of mares, foals, youngsters and stallions et cetera.

I have been active in Society lives and have been a member in SAHS (Swedish Arab Horse Society) unbrokenly since 1976. I have worked (on idealistic basis) with the SAHS News Magazine between 1990-1998 as a co-worker and writing articles and as an editor between 1993-1998. I have also been a member of the SAHS board. I have been a member of the ARAB (Arabian Horse Registry of Sweden) board from March 2000 to February 2003.

When I have time I write articles about the Arabian Horse's history, breeding, bloodlines, pedigrees et cetera. What I do else, please look at "Other Activities" in the Meny.
